Bose SoundDock review
These wall-of-sound speakers are very popular at the Regent Street Apple Store.
Their all-in-one design and sweeping white lines make for a very attractive small stereo solution. While there's no doubt that the Bose name has contributed somewhat to the high price, they simply don't sound as good as they look.
The output is bunched up, with all the sound coming from the middle frequencies. It's a case of too little bass and too little treble. For speakers at this price, we would have expected much better stereo separation. The remote control and integrated charging features are handy additions to the package and make using your iPod in the home a breeze, but the unit doesn't quite hit the spot. The Bose SoundDock may look good, but the sound quality leaves something to be desired - not a good all-rounder.
