Looking like a clipboard with a slot for an A5-sized piece of paper, the Digimemo A501 uses a special pen to record where and what you're writing on a page.
It's simple enough to use, with a small LCD showing which page number you're editing. However, you need to number your notebook in the same way to make sure you're editing the same page.
Its 8MB of internal memory is enough for 40 A4 pages, although you can use the CompactFlash memory card slot to store up to 999 pages. The provided software downloads the images and lets you create groups of notes. It's not cheap, but it works very well and can be carried around. Anyone who takes lots of notes could benefit a great deal from this product.
