Our Rating
These travel speakers are suitable for any portable media player, but Saitek has resisted the temptation to make them iPod white.
They're quite large but look smart and distinctive. The A-200s come with a soft travel case and an AC adaptor, but also run from four AAA batteries.
To switch the on, you press a large section, which rises to form a bass-enhancing chamber. While this works well, bass response and definition fell off at very low frequencies. The speakers' mid-range response was a little harsh, but they are satisfyingly loud. The A-200s look different and sound acceptable, but the JBL On Tour speakers that we reviewed in last month's What's New are cheaper and sound better.
