Cohen concedes defeat over iTunes.co.uk domain
Posted on 24 Nov 2005 at 10:47
Ben Cohen has abandoned his attempt to regain the iTunes.co.uk domain.
Cohen's CyberBritain Group was ordered by UK registrar Nominet to hand over the domain to Apple and failed in a subsequent attempt to secure a judicial review of the ruling.
Nominet awarded the domain to Apple in March, ruling that CyberBritain was cyber squatting as Apple had the right to the iTunes trademark.
Cohen accused the registrar of favouring big business, although he did his case no favour by admitting that he did not really use the domain.
Following the high court's rejection, Cohen had vowed to fight on, but Nominet has confirmed that he has conceded defeat.
