Adobe has announced that 10 more companies have joined its OpenHD Alliance, which aims to provide an integrated, certified high definition hardware and software for Windows.
The new members include manufacturers of graphics cards, video capture devices, video accelerators, audio tools and storage products. Together with the introduction of the Adobe Production Studio they have enabled Adobe to create seven new turnkey solutions supporting HDV to real-time compressed and uncompressed HD.
'We're excited to add such an impressive list of companies to the Adobe OpenHD alliance, expanding our ability to provide the most comprehensive desktop HD offerings on the market today,' said Jim Guerard, vice president of Web and Video products for Adobe. 'The new turnkey HD systems provide solutions to address the needs of creatives and videographers up to the largest post production houses.'
Adobe Production Studio is a suite of video editing applications that includes new versions of After Effects, Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition and Adobe Encore DVD as well as the latest versions of Photoshop CS2 and Illustrator CS2.
Other members of the OpenHD Alliance are Dell, HP, Intel, and Microsoft.
