20in PowerPC iMac reaches End of Life
Posted on 13 Mar 2006 at 15:00
Apple has stopped taking orders for the 20in version of the PowerPC iMac.
'With immediate effect, the following product and it's [sic] relate [sic] configurations are "End of Life" (EOL) and no further orders can be taken', the company said.
Apple stopped supplying the 17in Power PC iMac at the beginning of February. Both machines have been succeeded by Intel-based versions.
Other Power PC Macs that have bitten the dust include the Mac mini, superseded by an Intel model, and the 15in PowerBook, replaced by the MacBook Pro.
