Google improves Mac support for Gmail and Calendar
Posted on 24 Aug 2006 at 11:30
Google has enhanced Mac support for two of its Web applications, Gmail and Calendar.
The OS X upgrade of the Gmail Notifier for Macs displays alerts in the menu bar, so users can see when they have new Gmail messages or upcoming Google Calendar events without having to open a web browser.
Google has also improved Safari compatibility with Calendar.
'Creating a better user experience for Google Calendar on a Mac was my first project at Google. So I'm excited to tell you that Google Calendar now works great in Safari,' said David Oster, software engineer-mac clients at Google.
