Destiny 2 DLC release date: Is Gods of Mars the next Destiny 2 expansion?

A leak on the PlayStation Store suggests Gods of Mars could be Destiny 2's second expansion

It may seem like Destiny 2’s first expansion, The Curse of Osiris, only came out last week, but it’s been nearly three months since Guardians were chasing down Osiris. So, many of you are probably wondering what’s going to be coming next, and it seems that we may have had our first clue about what Bungie has planned next.

A leak on the Xbox Store, which has also now cropped up on the PlayStation Store, suggests Bungie’s next expansion will be called “Expansion II: Gods of Mars“. According to the Xbox Store listing, which has now been taken down – which you can see a screenshot of here – and the PlayStation Store listing (shown below), Gods of Mars will take you to the Frigid Vale of Mars.

Here, in this new land, the listing states players will find “an array of new missions, adventures and enemies to fight.” Interestingly, the Xbox Store listing and the PlayStation Store listing differ around this point.

The Xbox listing points to the return of Crow Splicer from Destiny and paints the antagonist as the Warmind Rasputin. However, the PlayStation listing makes reference to the Warmind Charlemagne. It could be something as innocent as a late decision change in how they wanted to frame the story, but it’s just as likely the Xbox listing was doctored by a fan who heard about it early on and jumped to conclusions.
