Our Rating
Sennheiser's PC 350 headphones are aimed at gamers, and have a built-in microphone for taunting your opponents during multiplayer games. This microphone can be swivelled out of the way if needed. There's also an in-line volume control.
We found the headphones comfortable to wear, even for long periods. They fitted the largest and most awkward-shaped heads in the Shopper office. Although they aren't marketed as a noise-cancelling set, the PC 350's closed drivers blocked out a noticeable amount of background noise, such as the hum of air conditioning. There's plenty of volume, although the bass wasn't as thumping as we'd have liked. Music sounded reasonably detailed, although vocals were muted and distant.
The PC 350 is a decent pair of headphones, but £80 is a high price to pay. Creative's Aurvana Live! headphones leak sound, lack an integrated microphone and don't block background noise, but they sound better and are cheaper at £57.
