They use Apt-X compression technology to improve sound quality, but even devices without Apt-X, such as the Walkman, sounded great. Bass levels are good without being boomy, and there's a good balance across the entire range, with surprisingly subtle high notes but, as with all Bluetooth audio, the sound still felt compressed.

The cans don't cover your ears entirely, but perch precariously on top of them, and you have to adjust carefully to balance comfort and sound quality.
