Sky to launch Five HD this July
Posted on 17 Mar 2010 at 12:11
Days after it was announced that Five HD would not be on Freeview HD, Sky has announced that it has grabbed the channel.
Broadcasting will start in July this year, and the channel will be the 42nd added to Sky's HD line-up, making it by far the biggest high definition broadcaster in the UK.
While highlights of the channel are shows such as CSI and live football, the downside is that Live From Studio Five will also be broadcast in full grizzly high definition. Presented by the most inane presenters ever - the irritating Ian Wright, annoying Melinda Messenger and Kate 'I was on the Apprentice' Walsh, who looks like the Mouth of Sauron with better dental work - it's possibly the most offensively light-weight news program ever.
