Sitting in the middle of Logitech’s keyboard and mouse range, the MK520 makes a good first impression. The keyboard's keys are quiet and offer just the right amount of resistance, making them extremely comfortable to use. They are also sunk into the chassis, but this doesn’t hamper usability, and while the convex and slightly raised space bar feels a little odd at first, we soon grew to like it.
Logitech has opted not to include a Context key and instead replaced it with a Function key, which provides access to further shortcut commands, such as to lock your computer, and start your email application. Not having a Context key is not a big loss, as using the right mouse button is quicker.
The supplied mouse has a symmetrical design and is extremely comfortable. The rubberised edges feel great and it has a smooth motion. The mouse doesn’t have any extra buttons, though, and the scroll wheel could be a little more fluid, but it's a minor complaint.
This is an otherwise excellent keyboard and mouse set, and wins our Best Buy award.
