Samsung's 245T costs a huge £709, but it is a truly outstanding monitor. Lining it up next to the other 24in models shows off its vivid colours, wonderfully bright backlight and superb contrast. Playing Crysis on this screen is exhilarating, such is the vibrancy it brings to the jungles of the game.
It has a wide range of connectors, including HDMI, DVI, component and composite, and the best onscreen menu we've seen, with a range of ways to tweak an image. The screen's Motion Picture Acceleration mode is meant to make fast motion smoother, but we did notice some minor blurring in fast panning scenes. This is the monitor's only weakness, though.
There's a four-port USB hub for your peripherals, and the stand is fully adjustable and can pivot 90° to go into portrait mode. Samsung's SyncMaster 245T is extremely expensive compared to the other 24in screens here, but it has the best image quality of any screen here. It's our Most Wanted.
