If you intend to use the Eee PC on the move, be aware that battery life isn't the best we've seen. In our tests, it lasted for three hours and 20 minutes, so you may want to invest in a second battery for around £40.

The Eee PC 701 is stunning. It may lack an optical drive, and the keyboard takes a bit of getting used to, but it offers a staggering amount for the price. Asus has also included all the components you're likely to want, such as the webcam and WiFi. It also comes in black for those who aren't fans of the white version. At just £209 including VAT the Eee PC is sure to fly off the shelves, so make sure you get one before Asus increases the price.
