Dell's mini-notebook to be revealed tomorrow
Posted on 3 Sep 2008 at 10:44
Dell will announce its new mini-laptop tomorrow, according to a source at the Wall Street Journal.
The unnamed informant is reportedly familiar with the company's plans, and said Dell is getting ready to unveil a laptop to rival Asus' Eee PC on Thursday.
The announcement will be made as part of a conference with partner Box.net, which supplies online data storage services.
The laptop will be around two-thirds of the size of a traditional laptop, with a screen size of less than nine inches.
According to the Journal's sources - people who are "familiar with the device" - the notebook is likely to retail for less than £225, with either Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems installed.
A Dell spokeswoman was not immediately available to comment.
