MacBook Air suffering from display corruptions
Posted on 8 Dec 2008 at 15:18
MacBook Air users are reporting a problem with lines appearing on the display of their ultraportable Macs.
Apple’s Discussions forum has logged numerous complaints of grey or white lines that are said to make image look like it is “printed” on parchment or recycled paper.
Apple has not issued a formal response, but according to posters on the Discussions boards, it has acknowledged the problem and is investigating. Some have been told that a firmware update will be released.
No similar issues have been reported with Apple’s other newest laptop models—the MacBook and MacBook Pro.
