Mesh announces 'world's first' DirectX 11 laptop

Mesh Computers has announced the launch of the EDGE DX - the 'world's first' DirectX 11 laptop available to buy now at £899 including VAT.
As well as the 1GB Radeon HD 5650, which supports DirectX 11, the Edge DX has an Intel Core i7 720 QM processor and 4GB DDR3 memory. It has a 15.6in, 1080p display and comes pre-configured with Windows 7 Home Premium.
Tony Riccardi, Sales and Marketing Director for Mesh said, "We innovate faster than anyone else in the market. With the launch of the Edge DX, we’re leading the world and, as a British PC manufacturer, this is an achievement that we are immensely proud of".
Don't get your hopes up of Full HD gaming on the move, though. Although we haven't seen an Edge DX to benchmark it, the Radeon HD 5650's specifications don't look stunning, and we'll be very surprised if it can handle games at 1,920x1,080.
As always, we'll bring you a full review of this new laptop as soon as we can.
