iPad UK availability announced

Apple has confirmed that its highly anticipated iPad multitouch tablet computer will be available in the UK from late March.
The WiFi-only versions of Apple's iPad will be available in the UK from late March, while the models also equipped with 3G will be available from April. Apple has yet to confirm exact dates or pricing – Apple's UK website currently lists the already-announced US prices.
It's expected that the UK 3G models will be unlocked, just like the US versions, so you can use them on any 3G mobile network you like. It's unlikely you'll be able to use your existing mobile SIM card though, as the iPad uses micro SIM cards which are smaller than the SIM cards currently used in most mobile phones.
There is, however, still no word on whether the UK version of the iPad will come with the iBookstore from day one. Apple's current stance is that it will announce its iBookstore plans before the device goes on sale in the UK.
