Acer extends its international travelers warranty
Posted on 24 Feb 2010 at 12:10
Acer has announced that it has extended its international travelers warranty (ITW) in order to cover exchange students and anyone else spending extended periods of time in other countires.
Previously, owners of Acer laptops could call on the scheme - which allowed them to get repairs carried out locally instead of returning to the country of purchase - if the length of their stay was less than three months. Now, other categories of traveler can benefit from the service.
Acer has also increased the number of locations offering ITW service in China, Taiwan, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australia, Asia and Pacific. 38 new locations have been added in total.
For more details on the scheme, you can visit the ITW web site.
