Acer Aspire 5740-332G25Mn review
Verdict:
A decent Core i3 laptop for under £500, with a bright screen and good battery life, but some corners have been cut. Spend a bit more cash and you can get a much better laptop.

Acer Aspire 5740-332G25Mn prices
after a year
I have aspire 5740-5995 for more then a year now, and it does everything what all purpose laptop should. We are using it as "kitchen" access for all laptop, running 24/7. Not a single problem, no glitches, no issues. We don't play games on it (PS3 is for it), and for money spend ($340 Canadian on sale) is a great deal. It is running extremely quiet and stays cool.

Silent errors plague Acer laptops
My Acer 5740 suffers a SATA bus reset when the power adaptor is plugged in. Windows does not report this error and will crash or worse without warning. Buy a quality laptop and save you money/user data.
