Our Rating
The Notino is a cheap and well-equipped notebook. It has three USB2 ports, a memory card reader and two card slots for adding upgrades. There's a DVD writer that can write to all common formats, and a 40GB hard disk for storage.
The keyboard flexes a little, but it's large and comfortable to type on, while the touch pad is accurate with firm buttons. The 15" display showed some uneven backlighting, but was generally good.
The Notino has enough processing power to manage day-to-day tasks such as web browsing and some photo manipulation, scoring 67 overall in our Shopper benchmarks. The battery lasted an impressive three hours and 14 minutes, which is plenty for occasional mobile use.
The Notino is a good budget notebook that will suit those who need to undertake only day-to-day computing tasks.
