Popcorn Hour C-200 launches in UK
Posted on 24 Feb 2010 at 14:53
We've just heard that the Popcorn Hour C-200 is now available in the UK. The C-200 apparently does everything its highly-rated predecessor does, the A-110. This alone should make it pretty impressive, streaming and playing all kinds of video and digital media from your PC, storage devices, network or the Internet directly to your TV.
In addition the Popcorn Hour C-200 has an upgraded processor, optional Blu-ray capability and Gigabit Ethernet. It's hard to judge how much difference a new processor will make, but hopefully it will make the menu system even more responsive. The ability to add an optional Blu-ray drive is an intriguing choice, giving the user the option of HD movie playback. However, drives still cost around £70, and with the C200 itself costing £309 it's certainly not a budget option.
As with previous models you can also install a 3.5in hard disk for local storage of files. The addition of Gigabit Ethernet will be a huge boon here, letting you copy files to the device across your network at high speeds.
The Popcorn Hour C-200 is available now at www.advancedmp3players.co.uk. We'll bring you a full review soon.
