Apple iPhone review
Verdict:
Unless you've been living in a cave, this needs no introduction. The iPhone more than lives up to the hype, raising the bar for smartphones while extending their appeal to the average user. Whether it's good value in the UK remains to be seen.

Our Rating
The iPhone is markedly different from all its rivals. At $499, or $599 for the 8GB model, it's not outrageously expensive for a smartphone, but whether it looks like reasonable value when it arrives over here will depend on the contract deals on offer. Apple's business model relies on tying the phone to a single network, currently reported to be O2 in the UK, although there's been no launch announcement yet.
For now, we're quite happy just to be able to admire this gorgeous gadget without having to make the tricky decision whether to stump up the cash to own it.
