Nokia N9 images leaked

Photographs of Nokia's up-coming N9 smartphone have leaked out - and it looks like the Finnish mobile giant is taking its design cues from Apple's MacBook Pro range these days.
The leaked images appeared on the Baidu site and were quickly spotted - and translated - by Electronista - and they reveal a certain design ethos that any MacBook Pro owner would likely feel comfortable with.
The 4in wide-screen touch-sensitive display slides up and out to reveal a chiclet-style keyboard - with the black keys on the metallic silver surface looking remarkably like Apple's flagship laptop line.
Although technical details of the device aren't yet known, some information can be gathered from the images: the logo for MeeGo, a joint project between Nokia and Intel to produce a mobile-oriented Linux-based operating system to rival Google's Android, can be seen at the base of the screen on some images while a shot of the back of the handset reveals a camera with dual flash - thought to be an 8 megapixel resolution.
Other details rumoured but not yet confirmed include HDMI output for connecting the handset to an external display along with the possibility of a high-resolution display like that featured on Apple's iPhone 4 handset.
So far Nokia is keeping quiet about this release, so there's no clue as to when the device will become available nor how much it's likely to cost.
