An iPhone and iPod touch application that simulates a pond of Koi Carp has been the most popular paid-for application on Apple's App Store.
With the store now boasting more than 10,000 applications, Apple has published lists of the most downloaded free and paid-for software for its mobile devices.
The 59p Koi Pond tops the paid-for list ahead of the Texas Hold ’em poker game and Moto Chaser.
Indeed games occupy six of the top ten places. The full list, in order, is: Koi Pond, Texas Hold’em, Moto Chaser, Crash Bandicoot: Nitro Kart 3d, Super Monkey Ball, Cro-Mag Rally, Enigmo, Pocket Guitar, Recorder and iBeer.
Pandora Radio is the top free app, ahead of Facebook, Tap Tap Revenge, Shazam, Labyrinth Lite Edition, Remote, Google Earth, Lightsaber Unleashed, AIM and Urbanspoon.
Links to all the top applications, as well as lists of the most popular apps in various categories, can be found on the iTunes 2008 section of the store.
