Vodafone drops roaming charges
Posted on 14 May 2009 at 16:23
Vodafone is dropping its roaming charges this summer, so that holiday makers can make and receive calls at the same cost as if they were at home.
From June 1 until the end of August, Pay as you Go and Pay Monthly customers that are on or sign up for the Passport service will be able to use their phone abroad no extra cost. This deal includes being able to use any free voice minutes while away.
After the three month promotion has ended, customers are switched back to the usual Passport deal, which costs 75p for the initial connection, followed by standard UK call rates.
To sign up for the plan text 'Passport' to 9788 for Pay Monthly customers or 2345 for Pay as you Go customers. For more details see Vodafone's roaming website.
