Apple: no pr0n on iTunes store

Apple has banned an iPhone and iPod touch application after the developer added pictures of naked women.

Allan Leung’s Hottest Girls app had already been approved when he sneaked in new content featuring both topless and fully naked women.

Apple said that this was a direct violation of the terms of the iPhone Developer Program.

“Apple will not distribute applications that contain inappropriate content. The developer of this application added inappropriate content directly from their server after the application had been approved and distributed, and after the developer had subsequently been asked to remove some offensive content. ”

Leung’s disregard for Apple’s rules could cost him dearly. All his other apps, including Hottest Guys, have also been removed from iTunes.
