Designer demos Nokia-branded concept handsets

A designer has posted a sneak peak at two concept handsets created for Nokia - the Stealth and the N82 Dragonfly.
Designer Reginald Shola Hingston has posted the two concepts to his account on creative community site Coroflot - via Concept Phones - and while the Dragonfly is innovative it's the Stealth that's likely to turn heads.
Described as a "mid-level handset for the tech inspired user," the Stealth owes its somewhat harsh stylings to the aircraft from which it takes its name. While the sharp point at the top of the device is likely to cause a few bruises before users are acclimatised, the angled keypad allows users to - according to Hingston - "navigate by touch sensation."
The industrial feeling is carried through the design with the use of a matte finish rubber coating, although whether that's for ruggedisation or simply aesthetics isn't clear.
With the love-it-or-hate-it design of the Stealth causing a stir, it's easy to overlook Hingston's second design - the rather more sedate N82 Dragonfly. Designed as an entry-level handset, the Dragonfly features an interestingly shaped keypad inspired by the wings of the titular creature.
It's worth pointing out at this point that neither of the two designs have been approved or endorsed by Nokia, having been created on-spec by Hingston as a demonstration of his talents. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is likely down to personal taste.
