BenQ announces more LED-backlit Full HD monitors
Posted on 22 Dec 2009 at 13:00
In line with our predictions for 2010,BenQ has announced two new widescreen monitors with LED backlights. The 21.5in G2222HDL and the 24in G2420HDBL are additions to the existing G-series range. Both models have a resolution of 1,920x1,080 and ultra-high dynamic contrast ratios of 5,000,000:1, thanks to those LED backlights.
Unlike the V2400 Eco, which we reviewed recently, the new models have a glossy black finish and a symmetrical design. They have VGA and DVI inputs, a brightness of 250cd/m2 and a tilt-only stand.
This means they're similarly lacking in features just as the V2400 Eco is, but their prices of £149 for the 21.5in and £169 for the 24in mean they might be slightly better value, especially if their image quality is as good as the 24in V2400 Eco's, which is more expensive at around £200.
We'll bring you a full review as soon as review models land in our Labs.
