Lenovo launches multitouch monitor

Lenovo has announced a trifecta of full-HD widescreen monitors - including one model that features Windows 7-compatible multitouch.
As revealed over on
Thinkpads.com, the first entry into Lenovo's new range is the L2261 - a 21.5" LCD with full-HD 1920x1080 resolution. Clearly aimed at business users looking for extra desktop area, the L2261 has VGA and DVI inputs - sadly for a 1080p display, it doesn't come with HDMI.
The next model, the L2361p, keeps the resolution and brightness of the cheaper edition, although has a size boost to 23" diagonal - along with an integrated 0.3 megapixel webcam. If the webcam wasn't enough of a clue, this is Lenovo's home user edition and comes with VGA and HDMI inputs - and you can expect to pay a slight premium over the more business oriented version above.
The last in the range, the L2461x, is still larger at 23.6" - although keeps the 1920x1080 full-HD resolution of the L2261. As well as the increased size, this model increases the brightness from 250 nits to 300 nits - although the contrast ratio and response time are the same. The feature that's likely to really peak interest is the multi-touch: Windows 7 certified, the monitor should allow for a full touch screen experience for anyone running Microsoft's latest and greatest.
Sadly, Lenovo has yet to release pricing information for these three displays.
