Build your general knowledge with iMinds new audiobooks
Posted on 4 Dec 2009 at 12:47
New company iMinds has released a library of eight-minute audiobooks aimed at busy people wanting to improve their general knowledge. These MP3s can be transferred onto virtually all portable audio players, and are free from DRM when bought from iMinds.com. The audiobooks can also be purchased through the iTunes store, Audible.com and LearnOutLoud.com.
The audiobooks cover 12 categories of information including politics, business, science and history and culture and religion, and there are currently around 180 titles. This, clearly, isn't a particularly large library, but new titles are being added constantly. Many popular subjects are covered, and information is up to date. The MP3s also have appropriate backing music, and are professionally produced.
iMinds has also released a Junior range, based on the current school curriculum, aimed at childres aged between 7 and 14 years old.
Individual tracks cost 95p on iTunes, but you can also buy Generalist compilations which last for 90 minutes and cost a much better-value £2.95.
You can find out more at iMinds' website.
