Sony Net MD MZ-N1 review

Verdict:

Review Date: 23 Jul 2002

Price when reviewed: (£199)

Reviewed By: Benny Har-Even

Our Rating 5 stars out of 5

Sony's Net MD range allows you to transfer your MP3 files to MiniDisc at top speed, tracks taking 5-10 seconds in the lowest quality LP4 mode.

However, the software forces you to convert all your MP3 into ATRAC3 format, slowing down the copying process. You also can't upload recordings from MiniDisc to PC - a real shame. Nevertheless, this top of the range player sounds fabulous and has far longer battery life than all the dedicated MP3 players on test.
