Our Rating
Aiwa's 1.5GB player comes in two parts: a hard disk unit, which fits in your pocket, and a lapel remote control, which houses a full set of controls and a backlit screen.
The hard disk unit itself is approximately the size of a credit card and around 1cm thick.
The HZ-WS2000 sounds great and has some clever features such as a memory charger. This copies as many songs as possible to memory and shuts down the hard disk, which avoids skips and disk corruption. Sadly, the software is not as smart. It can't create MP3 files, but you have to use it to copy music to the player. If you like the design you could probably put up with the software, but otherwise the cheaper Rio Nitrus is preferable.
