Steinberg Cubase 4 review

Verdict:

Review Date: 19 Feb 2007

Price when reviewed: inc VAT

Reviewed By: Ben Pitt

Our Rating 3 stars out of 5

Unlike SL3, Cubase Studio 4 includes score editing and MIDI editing directly on the timeline. It's a shame to lose the Spector and Mystic instruments, but with HALion One and Prologue still included, Cubase Studio 4 adds up to a better-value package than the full-price Cubase 4. Still, £280 isn't much cheaper than the full versions of Ableton Live and Sonar, both of which have more to offer.
