Equinux's TubeStick is notable for two things: it's considerably cheaper than other TV tuners and it ships with its own software - until the launch of the TubeStick, every Mac DVB-T tuner used one application, Elgato's EyeTV.
The TubeStick is unremarkable in terms of its hardware. It's a white stick with a USB plug on one end. The TubeStick has a mini-antenna connector, and ships with a DVB-T antenna. There's no remote control, perhaps the main reason for the low price, but you can use it with the Apple Remote if you have one.
The Tube software lacked a few basic features, such as scheduled recordings, when it was first released but has matured and now has everything you would expect of a TV application. One neat feature is the ability to share tips with friends by emailing them information about an upcoming programme, which, when they click on it, is scheduled for recording on their Mac.
You'll need a decent signal, as the TubeStick has only one tuner, and so no diversity mode, but if you do, and don't mind not having a remote control, it's a decent choice.
