Setting up a network can be a messy business. A spaghetti of cabling isn't appealing and, if you go for a wireless network, there are a number of security issues to overcome.
The net2plug uses your existing electricity mains to transfer data between two points at a maximum speed of 14Mbit/s. If you put the two plugs in the same socket, though, the resulting transfer speeds are almost four times better than if you had one downstairs and the other on a different floor.
Setting it up is easy enough; you connect the USB connectors and run the installation wizard. For simplicity it's a good buy, but the high price and slow transfer rates are an issue.
