Our Rating
D-Link's DWL-G120 looks very posh for a USB Wi-Fi adapter.
Usually, they look like slightly chunky USB memory sticks that plug straight into one of your USB ports. The D-Link, on the other hand, has a built-in aerial and comes with a little USB lead, so you can prop it up somewhere high in the hope of getting a better signal. Theoretically, this should be much better than normal USB adapters, which often end up pointing at the ground, but it didn't live up to this promise. It was the slowest of all the adapters on test, transferring our test files in 1 minute and 37 seconds - and at £41 this is the most expensive in the test. If you need a USB adapter, get the 3Com instead.
