BT claims this notebook Wi-Fi card is 30% faster than the official 802.11g standard.
The catch is that you only get these boosted speeds if the card is talking to a router, or another wireless adapter, from the same company. If you live in a house with thick walls and lots of interference, however, the extra speed and range would be a big help. Alas, the Voyager 106 took 1 minute and 35 seconds to transfer our 100MB of test files. That's the second slowest time in the group. Teamed up with a BT router, that time fell to 1 minute and 26 seconds: not a third faster. And it's still slower than the Buffalo in normal mode. The Voyager 1060 is also five quid more expensive, making the choice between the two cards even easier.
