If you're moving from place to place, and from one PC to another, it's not always practical to carry either a desktop or a laptop adapter around with you.
You could end up on either type of computer. That's where USB Wi-Fi adapters come in handy. All you need to do is plug them into one of the PC's USB ports and install the drivers and you're away. The 3Com completed our transfer in just 1 minute and 29 seconds, the second fastest in the group. It's easy to install and supports both major security standards. If you know what kind of PC you're buying an adapter for, get one of the cheaper cards that have picked up an award. But if you need a Wi-Fi adapter to use on whatever PC you happen to trip across, this is the best we've seen.
