D-LINK DI-624 review
D-Link claims that the DI-624 can transfer data at up to 108Mbit/s, and it managed a very respectable 12.9Mbit/s in our 1m speed test with its own adaptor. This dipped to 8.9Mbit/s when connected to a Centrino notebook.
The D-Link performed well at 5m, managing 12.5Mbit/s, but speeds dropped to 5Mbit/s at 10m and our tests became unstable at 25m.
The DI-624 can't spoof MAC addresses, but unlike some routers here, it supports two versions of WPA: WPA-RADIUS and WPA-PSK.
The DI-624 is a decent router that is let down by its long-range performance. It's the cheapest here but is outclassed by the superior US Robotics router, which costs just £2 more.
