Having bought a Linutop 2 for my aging mother, I agree that if you just look at the hardware, there are more options out there that can fit the bill. Esp if you want a PC with more power. The reason I chose this one was because the Ubuntu-based OS is made to be low maintenance and secure. Since she only uses it for simple web-surfing and emailing, she didn't need more power. And if she ever got a virus attack, she could just restart and it would give her a fresh start.
