Sony announces Vaio J touchscreen all-in-one PC

Sony has announced the Vaio J series, a new all-in-one PC with a 21.5in full HD touchscreen.
The Vaio J11M1E/B all-in-one PC will come equipped with a 21.5in touchscreen. We've been under whelmed by the Windows 7-equipped touchscreen computers we've seen to date, but Sony seems to have realised that having useful and fun applications will help make a touchscreen on a PC more than just a curious novelty. As a result, Sony's own YouPaint art program will come pre-installed on the J11M1E/B which should keep the kids entertained at least.
If you're more interested in movies, the widescreen display also has a full HD resolution of 1,920x1,080 pixels but there's no built-in Blu-ray drive. The J11M1E/B will otherwise be well specified with a 2.26GHz Core i3 350M processor, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard disk, built-in wireless networking and Bluetooth as well as a dedicated 512MB Nvidia GeForce 310M graphics card.
We were mightily impressed by the last all-in-one Sony PC we saw, the 24in Blu-ray equipped VPC-L11S1E/S, but at a price of £1,399 it was out of reach for many people. Although Sony has yet to confirm pricing for the J11M1E/B, its smaller screen and lack of Blu-ray means it should be cheaper – we wager it will be under £1,000. We'll bring you our full verdict as soon as one arrives in our Labs
