Dell Dimension XPS B1000r review
Verdict:
Despite a 1GHz CPU, GeForce graphics and a collossal price tag, it's not quite the fastest PC around.

For out-and-out 3D games performance, the Dell is the business, thanks in no small part to its 64Mb GeForce. When it comes to general system performance, however, evesham.com's 1GHz Athlon DDR is faster, and a bit cheaper too. This difference can be attributed to the Athlon being a faster chip than the Pentium III - as demonstrated by the maths-intensive Excel score. The evesham.com's fast Maxtor disk also helps.
So which one should you buy? Well, what really seals the deal is price. The Dell Dimension XPS B1000r is an expensive £2,669. The evesham.com isn't cheap, costing a sobering £2,099, but it did produce the highest Buyer speed rating ever seen. So if you must have the fastest, buy the evesham.com Athlon 1GHz. The name might be dull, but the system, I promise, is far from it.
