Systemax Insomnia 6017 review
Verdict:
Systemax's new PC wants nothing more than to entertain you. And if you treat PC games as more a way of life than a pleasant occasional hobby, then this machine will get you fingering your wallet excitedly.

BUYING DECISIONS
If you're a gameaholic, you'll lap up the heady gaming brew provided by the Insomnia, but there are still a few areas where it could be improved. Replacing the TFT with a 19in CRT will save you some cash, and be better for gaming. You could even put the money saved towards a graphics card higher up Nvidia's range, for example the 6800 standard card - or, if you're really keen, the almost top-of-the-range 6800GT.
It's also a bit disappointing that the mouse/keyboard combination, although perfectly adequate for typing and surfing the Net, aren't really suitable for serious gaming - and this is, after all, a games machine.
Minor niggles aside if you've got the cash - and it sure is a lot of cash - the Systemax is sure to keep you up all night.
