Keeping a processor cool is one thing, but doing it quietly is quite another.
Cooler Master's 16dB-rated Susurro aims to do just that. When we plugged it in, we couldn't hear it moving at all. With the fan control turned on in the BIOS the Susurro would often turn itself off, making for totally silent operation, as the large copper heat sink provided enough cooling by itself.
Quiet coolers usually support only low-powered processors, but the Susurro supports all AMD Athlon 64s, including X2s. Running Call of Duty 2 the Susurro kept the processor a good 10 lower than our reference cooler.
The Susurro is well-priced and extremely quiet, making it an excellent buy.
