Silver Power's SP-400P1B has a similar design to the 350W version, but it has more connectors.
There are eight Molex connectors and four SATA plugs, as well as power for two PCI Express graphics cards. The PSU is not officially SLI certified, however.
The SP-400P1B coped better than the SP-350P1B when delivering its maximum rated output. All its primary rails were within the ATX specification at 100% load, although the 12V rail was slightly high at 12.37V. It was still quiet after 30 minutes, and its twin fans kept it cool. Its overall power efficiency was better than the SP-350P1B at 73.8% overall, helped by a 70% efficiency figure during the stress test.
Silver Power's SP-400P1B has no problems delivering its claimed 400 watts, and it has plenty of connectors. It's not quite as efficient as Seasonic's S12-330, but if you want a PSU for a moderately powerful PC, this is good value
