Like Seasonic's V8 300W, Enermax's EG285SX is a microATX power supply. It has just three Molex connectors, but there is a 24-pin motherboard connector and two SATA connectors for newer PCs.
Although the EG285SX has a claimed power output of only 270W, the voltages on its primary rails were all within the ATX specification at 100% load. The voltage on the 3.3V rail was quite high at 3.36V, but this is still within the 5% variance allowed by the ATX spec. Efficiency is also good for such a cheap PSU, with 78.3% of the power drawn from the mains being distributed across the rails. The supply was quiet and cool after being run at 100% load for 30 minutes.
Enermax's EG285SX may not have as many connectors or as much power as Seasonic's V8 300, but as a cheap PSU for a low-powered small system, it is excellent value
