Seasonic V8 300 300W review
Seasonic's V8 300W is a microATX supply for small PC cases.
It has one more Molex and one more floppy connector than Enermax's EG285SX and can supply 300W of power instead of 270W. There are also two 12V rails, so if one rail reaches its maximum output it won't affect the components powered by the other.
The V8 300's rails were stable at all the power loads we tested, and the supply has an impressive overall power efficiency of 80.3%. It was slightly louder than Enermax's microATX supply at 100% load, and was fairly warm to the touch after our 30-minute burn-in test.
Seasonic's V8 300 is a very efficient and stable microATX PSU with the added advantage of two 12V rails, so it is ideal if you want to build a fairly powerful small PC. However, Enermax's EG285SX is nearly as efficient and far cheaper, so if you don't need the extra power it is a better buy
