Our Rating
Seasonic's S12-330 is the cheapest and least-powerful PSU in the S12 range. It has fewer connectors than the budget Silver Power PSUs, with just five Molex connectors and no PCI Express connector for powerful graphics cards.
Although the S12-330's rated 330W output is quite low by the standards of the group, it had no problems running at 100% load for our half-hour stress test. Voltages across the 3.3V, 5V and 12V rails were well within the ATX spec, and the 78% power efficiency at full load is one of the best figures from a mid-range supply. The Seasonic also remained cool and made only a low hum when delivering its rated maximum.
The S12-330 is fairly expensive for a 330W PSU, especially when compared to Cooler Master's Real Power 450W PSU, which is £10 more expensive and also has more connectors. However, if you don't need the extra watts and want to save some electricity, the Seasonic's excellent power efficiency make it a good buy
