Microsoft Remote Keyboard for Windows XP Media Center Edition review
Verdict:
The keyboard works OK, but £45 is too much. Use a standard wireless set plus the remote.

Our Rating
This keyboard is designed for use with a Media Center PC, such as those in our group test, page 60.
It sits comfortably on your lap, and includes a keyboard and a mouse controller. No receiver is included. If you have a Media Center PC with a remote control, it'll work using the same infra-red sensor.
The keyboard has no number pad, but is fairly well laid out, with large keys. The keys have a short action reminiscent of a laptop. Above and to the sides are handy shortcut buttons for the Media Center functions, so you can go directly to the Recorded TV page, for example.
To control the mouse you use a push pointer, under your right thumb, and buttons under your left. You push the pointer down a little, then use it like a joystick. We found it much harder to use than a mouse or touchpad.
